Triantafyllidis Georgios

Georgios A. Triantafyllidis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1975. He got his high-school education at Axioupoli, Kilkis (60 km north from Thessaloniki). He received the Diploma degree in electrical engineering in 1997 and the Ph.D. degree in image/video processing from Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2002.

Costis Aivalis was born in Athens, Greece, in 1954. He got his high-school education at Moraitis School, Athens in 1972. He received an MSc degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Berlin in 1983. In 2011 he received an M.A. degree in Graphic Arts and Multimedia from the Open University of Greece.

Vassilakis Kostas

Dr. Kostas VASSILAKIS (MSc, PhD Computer Science) is currently Professor of In-formatics at the Department of Sciences of Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Crete and director of the School of Applied Technology from 2010. Apart from his teaching and administrative activities, he is academic responsible of Network Operation Centre of TEI of Crete, member of the Internal Evaluation Group of Department of Sciences and member of the Administrative Council of the non-profit civil company “Greek Universities Network” (GUnet – Academic Network). Additionally, he is responsible for the provision of distance learning services (synchronous and asynchronous) in TEI of Crete.

Kalogiannakis Michail

Michail Kalogiannakis is Assistant Professor at the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete in Greece. He is also associate tutor at School of Humanities at the Hellenic Open University. He has graduated the Physics Department at the University of Crete and continued his post-graduate studies in France. His field of specialization is science education at early childhood. He is journal manager of the open access journal “Preschool & Primary Education”

Papadakis Stamatis

Dr. Stamatios Papadakis has been a postdoctoral researcher in Educational Technology, with emphasis on mobile learning, at the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete, Greece since 2016. He has graduated from the Department of Informatics, Athens University of Economics and Business, Athens, Greece. In 2006 he completed a Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in Pre-school Education and Educational Design at the University of Aegean, Rhodes, Greece at the School of Humanities, Department of Pre-school Education. In 2016, he completed a Ph.D. at the University of Crete, Department of Education in Rethymnon, Greece under the supervision by Prof. Zaranis Nikolaos.

Alexandros Papadakis was born in Heraklion, Greece. He received a BSc in Informatics and Multimedia from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete in 2018 and a MSc in Informatics Engineering from the Hellenic Mediterranean University. Anastasios Barianos was born in Danderyd, Stockholm Sweden. Vasiliki Eirini (Valeria) Chatzea

Vasiliki Eirini (Valeria) Chatzea was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. She studied “Health and Welfare Management” at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens where she was offered a scholarship. She holds a masters’ degree in “Public Health and Health Care Management” awarded with excellence by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Crete. At time being, she attends a master program in “Management and Digital Transformation” offered by HMU, while at the same time she is a PHD candidate under the mentorship of Dr. Vidakis Nikolaos, Vice-Rector of HMU. Her doctoral thesis revolves around serious games in nursing education in Greece. She is an experienced scientific writer with several publications in reputable scientific databases (pubmed, scopus), while she serves as reviewer and editor in selected notable scientific journals. In total, she has 478 citations and 12 h-index in Google Scholar. She is a member of the Nile laboratory since 2022.

Ilias Logothetis

Ilias Logothetis was born in Athens, Greece in 1990, and grew up in Chania, Crete, Greece. He studied Applied Informatics and Multimedia in the Computer Engineering Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete​ in Heraklion and graduated in 2017. In 2021 received his MSc degree in Applied Informatics and Multimedia from the Computer Engineering Department of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU). His research interests are in the field of augmented reality, machine learning, mobile application development, game development, and the combination of those technologies to provide educational content.

Iraklis Katsaris works as a teacher in the Greek Ministry of education and concurrently working as PhD candidate at the Hellenic Mediterranean University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Iraklis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He received a Bachelor of Education at the Department of Primary Level Education, Democritus University of Thrace in 2009,and an MSc in Sociology, Department of Sociology, University of the Aegean in 2017. Since 2020 he has been a member and researcher at Natural Interactive LEarning Games Lab (NILE-lab). Michail Angelos Lasithiotakis was born in Rhodes, Greece. He received a BSc in Informatics Engineering of Technological Educational Institute of Crete in 2015. Konstantinos Iatrou was born in Heraklion Crete, Greece. He received his BSc degree at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of Aegean at Lesvos Island in 2015.
